You can deduct the fair market valueof the items you donate — that's the price a willing buyer would pay a willing seller, not what you originally paid.

Items must be in good used condition or better to qualify. We provide a written acknowledgment receipt for all donations.

  • $250–$500We provide a written acknowledgment with item descriptions.
  • $500–$5,000File IRS Form 8283, Section A with your return.
